From history to trivia to recipes, we’ve got you covered. So sit back, relax, and enjoy a cool blueberry popsicle (or two).
The popsicle was invented quite by accident by an 11-year-old boy in 1905. Young Frank Epperson was stirring soda powder into a cup of water and left it outside overnight with the stirrer still in it. When he awoke the next morning, he found that his drink had frozen solid! He started playing with it and soon realized that he had created something special. Epperson patented his “Epsicle” ice pop in 1924 and started selling them at carnivals and fairs. He eventually changed the name to “Popsicle,” and the rest is history. Today, there are countless flavors and variations of popsicles available, from classic fruity options to more adventurous flavors like chili mango or avocado lime. No matter what your taste, there’s sure to be a popsicle that will hit the spot!
Nowadays, there are nearly endless possibilities when it comes to blueberry popsicles. You can find them in a wide variety of flavors, sizes, and shapes.
