Celebrate National Cheeseburger Day with the Perfect Patty
On September 18th, it’s time to break out the buns and cheese because it’s National Cheeseburger Day! Now, if you’re like me, your mouth is already watering just thinking about all of the delicious cheeseburgers you can enjoy. But there are so many types of cheeseburgers that choosing the perfect one for this special day can be a challenge. Don’t worry though – I’m here to help! Let’s take a look at some of the different types of cheeseburgers, as well as what different proteins you could use to make them.
Different Types of Cheeseburgers
When it comes to cheeseburgers, there are almost endless possibilities. You can go simple with just a classic beef patty topped with cheddar cheese or get fancy with an Angus beef patty served on artisan bread and topped with brie cheese. The possibilities really are endless when it comes to cheeseburger combinations! Here are some of my favorite types:
- Classic – Beef patty, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles and American cheese
- Mexican – Ground beef patty topped with guacamole, salsa and pepper jack cheese
- Hawaiian – Teriyaki-glazed beef patty topped with grilled pineapple and Swiss cheese
- BBQ – Ground beef patty smothered in barbecue sauce and cheddar cheese
- Italian – Beef patty topped with marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese
- Greek – Lamb patty topped with tzatziki sauce and feta cheese
- Veggie – Portobello mushroom cap stuffed with roasted vegetables and goat cheese
Different Proteins for Your Cheeseburger
Cheeseburgers don’t have to be made exclusively from beef patties – you can also opt for other proteins such as turkey, chicken, pork or even fish. Here are some great options for alternative proteins:
- Turkey — Ground turkey seasoned with garlic powder, oregano and basil topped with provolone cheese
- Chicken — Grilled chicken breast topped with Parmesan cheese
- Pork — Ground pork seasoned with sage and nutmeg then topped with Havarti Cheese
- Fish — Fried haddock fillet topped with cheddar-jack cheese mix
Whichever type of protein you choose for your cheeseburger will depend on your own personal preferences. Just remember that whatever you decide on should still be cooked through thoroughly before eating.
With so many different types of cheeseburgers out there—from classic to creative—you’ll never run out of tasty options for National Cheeseburger Day (or any day!) And don’t forget that there are plenty of alternative proteins to choose from too! So fire up the grill or preheat your oven – it’s time to celebrate National Cheeseburger Day in style!
